Basic Electrical Safety & Safe Isolation

Course Overview

This course covers electrical safety and safe isolation of circuits. It focuses on the hazards of electricity and the effect on the human body, the electrical supply to a premises and methods of earthing, earth loop impedance and protection of circuits, and the correct isolation of the supply.

Duration

1 Day

Who is this course for?

Any non-electrically trained staff who may be required to isolate electrical equipment to allow themselves or others to work on such equipment. Also, those who wish to gain a better understanding of the hazards of electricity and it’s effects, and how to mitigate the risk of electric shock.

Pre-requisites
