Course Overview
There is both a legal and moral duty to ensure workplaces are fire safe and that employees are aware of their responsibilities around fire safety.
The Highfield Level 1 Award in the Principles of Fire Safety Awareness (RQF) is the ideal introduction to the subject, and can support learners in any workplace, particularly new starters, where a basic understanding of fire safety is required.

Learning objectives
To understand that fire safety is the responsibility of every individual in the work place.
Topics included:
- The common causes of fire
- Actions to take in the event of a fire
- Understand how fire risk is controlled in the workplace
Assessment
Multiple choice assessment. Following completion of the course and a successful pass mark in the assessment, learners will receive the Highfield Level 1 Award in the Principles of Fire Safety Awareness (RQF).

Cancellations made less than 7 days prior to commencement of the course will be charged at full rate of the course.
Cancellations made more than 7 days but less than 14 days prior to the commencement of the course will be charged at 50% of the full rate for the course.
Cancellations made more than 14 days prior to the commencement of the course will attract a 10% administration charge.
