EAL Level 3 Requirements of BS5839-6 Domestic Dwellings

Course Overview

This qualification covers the covers the knowledge and understanding of the requirements for fire detection and alarm systems in dwellings. The focus is on fire detection and alarm systems within Grades D – F, but will also cover Grades A and C. It will introduce the various key legislation and regulations that apply; whilst enabling the Learner to recognise that UK nations have different minimum requirements or recommendations.

Who is this course for?

It is aimed at electricians and other industry professionals who wish to demonstrate they have the necessary understanding associated with fire detection and alarm systems in dwellings.

Learning objectives

understand fire risk assessments, design, installation and commissioning, and certification and maintenance of fire detection and fire alarm systems in dwellings.

Assessment

The learner will be assessed against this qualification by one 45 question on-screen multiple choice exam. This qualification is graded pass or fail only.

Following completion of the course and a successful pass mark in the assessment, we will issue an EAL Level 3 Certificate.
